The FBI is checking on your library reading habits, reading your emails and checking what websites you've visited today (maybe even... THIS ONE! AAAAARGH!!!!). No-fly lists, finger-printing foreigners, wars of invasion and occupation... comparisons with Nazi Germany are, are... OUTRAGEOUS! That was about lebensraum. This isn't about elbow room. This is about... freedom. Can you say 'freedom' with me? Come on, say it with me... 'freeeeeeeeeeeeeedom...' Yeah!

Why Us? Why Now?

We were laughing at the buffoon in the White House for a while. He was funny and quaint, in an unsympathetic sorta-way. And the really cool cool thing was, there were people out there supporting this loon. For real. And then 11 September, 2001 came around and the world took a gigantic smack upside the head and the gates of hell were opened and since then we have been
inundated with insanity. At first it was a tiny trickle. It was 'evildoers' and 'weapons of mass destruction' and 'make no mistake' and 'God Bless Amurka!' and they pulled an axis of evil out of thin-air. Before we realized it Amurka had invaded Afghanistan and stood at the gates of Iraq and the next thing we knew, Amurka invited itself into Iraq, toppled it's old henchman, Saddam Hussein, and the hunt for 'terruh-rist evildoers' became an international obsession, and it became clear to us who the 'terruh-rist evildoers' really were: anyone who dared to cross paths with the imperial puppet. 'If you're not with us, you're against us.' Afghanistan, Iraq, North Korea. And tomorrow? Syria? Iran? Indonesia? China? Denmark? You? Me?
Whatever happened to the good-old days when presidential mischief meant goosing an intern with a cigar in the back of the Oval Office rather than a botched plan for global dominion and domestic oppression?
